I am in love with the extravert art from the Netherlands-based artist, John Breed.
He makes such amazing art in a unique way. His artwork can be described as modern, but in the same way it is very surrealistic.
John Breed Artist
History
John Breed born was born in 1969 in Egmond. He is a multi-faceted artist. The creations of John show that he is a passionate man. He loves to travel and this makes the perfect combination for his designs. He can do Japanese art, Graffiti and Fresco’s. It is this enthusiasm makes the work of Breed so impressive.
Craftmanship
His craftsmanship is incredibly good. He is one of the most innovative artists. The indigenous technique he develops makes his work unique. He use rich materials such as Gold (real 24 karat gold), Platinum, palladium, crystals (Swarovski), synthetic resin and native stock types.
The Gold and Silver
Besides al the normal paintings, he designed some outstanding skeleton sculptures. My favorite Gold and Silver art pieces are The Staffa, Flim-flam and The Medusa’s Shoes.
The Staffa
Chaplain gold leafs on polystyrene and resin on wood, that’s The Staffa! It is made out of 837 hands cut pieces.
The Format: diameter 150
Flim Flam
The Flim Flam is a real monkey skeleton. It’s gilded with 24-karat gold leaf in a birdcage. The formats: 40 cm diameter x 70 cm height
I love the idea behind the Flim Flam.
‘’ Humans are all trapped in the cage of the idea how life should be reflecting and mirroring us on others. ‘’
The Medusa’s Shoes
It is an experimental show design exhibit at the Grassi Museum in Leipzig, Germany. The installation is about the madness of women about buying shoes
Exhibitions
John already had some Solo shows in The Netherlands an Germany.
The artwork is very expensive but phenomenal. It’s rarity. Here you can see his work in progress.
I really wish I could be paint so good, I can say I am a bit jealous.
