La Predera
Walking down the beautiful mile of Passeig de Gracia, you cannot fail to notice this building. Built by Antoni Gaudi in 1910, Casa Mila is one of the most visited sites in Barcelona. Besides visiting its stunning rooftop terrace, with soldier-like statues and monuments, you can also enter its old flats and get a feeling of how living-quarters were designed at the beginning of the 20th century.
Casa Milà, popularly known as La Pedrera, is a modernist building in Barcelona. It was the last civil work designed by architect Antoni Gaudí, and was built from 1906 to 1912.
Gaudi was a MASTER of engineering, architecture and art!! La Pedrera (Casa Mila) is a masterpiece!! Beautiful beyond words!! Could never be built today which makes it even more remarkable.
La Predera is an amazing place
Stunning building and the “museum” in the attic provides some wonderful insights into the genius of Gaudi.
The rooftop design is breath taking. I enjoyed it despite suffering from vertigo. Wonderful views across the city too. The showcase apartment is also an extremely enjoyable peek into a past era. Overall a very thought provoking and inspiring trip.
I had a great and original museum experience.
