Krka waterfalls
Including the submerged part of the river at the mouth, the Krka River is 72.5 km long, making it the 22nd longest river in Croatia. It springs in the foothills of the Dinara mountain range, 2.5 km northeast of Knin. With its seven waterfalls and a total drop in altitude of 242 m, the Krka is a natural and karst phenomenon. The travertine waterfalls of the Krka River are the fundamental phenomenon of this river.
A brand new adventure!
Skradin has to offer us much more. Through a great river gorge, a large lake and under a high bridge we come into a neat freshwater port. The next morning we rent a mountain bike and cycled to the Krka Waterfalls. Absolutely amazing.
After visiting the Krka Waterfalls we went sailing to the Krka River.
There we saw a famous monastery where Franciscans have lived for centuries. We pass the old town of Sibenik and sailing along the tourist Riviera Sibenik Tribunj direction.
We already heard some rumors about a rough night. When we heart ‘’Vodice” we couldn’t be patient any more. Vodice, a party town No. 1 on the Sibenik Riviera, and Sibenik, one of the most beautiful cities in the immediate vicinity; narrow alleys, a beautiful cathedral and stunning views of the sea.
